Snit Smashing

A very simple game in which players compete to reproduce as many Snits as possible, while smashing the other players' Snits with the Bolotomus.
Originally published in The Dragon Magazine, Issue #10.
Republished with Snit's Revenge 27 years later (2004) by Steve Jackson Games in a single reprint entitled "Snits"
Each player plays both a tribe (21 chits of his colour, of which 4 are randomly selected for each run) of Snits, emerging from the sea (one end of the map), racing (each counter is marked with a speed in hexes) to the cover of the Snandergrab (a big counter/tile covering 7 hexes), and a Bolotomus (a large bored creature represented only by the Smash! counter denoting the hexes where it hopes to crush Snits).

Movement of Snits, and location on the Bolotomus' Smash! are secretly written down, and simultaneously revealed. Once under the Snandergrab (Snits who survive 6 game turns but didn't make it there are placed under anyway), Snits reproduce (3 more counters are added per survivor), and they all race back to the sea, imperilled by the Bolotomus again. A second reproductive run follows, then the winner is judged by the greatest number of surviving Snits.
